If products are shipped from the US you will pay duty - if they ship by UPS you will be ripped off even more. If products are shipped FROM Canada you won't pay duties. It will all refelct in the prices - I order my Taiyo Yuden blank DVD from blankmedia.ca, the guy imports the blanks from the US - I don't pay any duties.

Besides, I will keep ordering from DirectCanada, as I would like to encourage CAnadian companies.

Yea, I don't think I will be switching from NCIX unless I have an emergency and NCIX does not have what I want.

Newegg coming in means more competition, especially with a big name.More competiion means better prices :)

I heard they were going to set up in Moncton.....

(just Kidding... :) )

I doubt it would change my prefered retailers, but it certainly would be nice to see what kind of unique stock they might have.

Increased competition this side of the border might be bad for us NCIX/DC fans WRT stock. Newegg is pretty damn big in terms of supply clout, I hope NCIX doesn't get dropped down to second tier for receiving either new or hard-to-keep-in-stock items.

It definitely won't change my preferred retailers, I'm pretty loyal and I would rather order from both NCIX or DC simply because they are Canadian - although it might foster some good competition and help lower our prices even more! And depending on their selection I can use it to ask my retailers to get things in! hehe

Then I would have another good reason to go across the bridge again.
