I’ve ordered stuff from all over the world online for ten years, and they are tops!
(web sites not the best to navigate, but I’m forgiving)

NCIX already offers pretty much the lowest prices in Canada. It will be ineteresting to see how NewEgg manages to compete - They have a great customer service reputation, but in terms of pricing they aren't really anything extraordinary. Not to mention the cost of a Canadian base of operations isn't going to be cheap either, and only for 30 million people - having to compete with NCIX, Tiger and CC for a share of a population less than California.
Seems silly for them to even bother really.

now that I think about it, newegg's site sucks more than ncix does.

The way I see it, if they do like NCIX did with their Seattle warehouse and set up a warehouse in say Toronto with minimal staff, they can cover the whole country from that one location. Speaking of which, NCIX muscled in on Newegg's home turf...now it seems like Newegg is doing the same.

If NCIX and Tiger found a way to be profitable up here, so too will Newegg.

If Newegg imports things from the US, then do we Canadians still pay taxes on them or just brokerage fees? Even if we do, I hope they locate somewhere in ALberta or something so I would not have to pay PST and GST, something Toronto population has had luxury of doing for BC's NCIX/DC.
