Newegg CSR has confirmed that it is indeed an actual Newegg pre-launch site.

All updates will be posted in the first post.

If newegg didn't have a Canadian distribution centre. We would be then subject to, import taxes/duty and the dreaded UPS brokerage fee!
All in all newegg expanding north benefits us, the consumer, we get increased competition therefore better prices (well we better get 'em). I hope to see them open up shop soon.
really Canada only has 3 major retailers( That I can think of) Netlink(NCIX,DC,and another site), TigerDirect, and Canada Computers. newegg will provide a nice addition to the etailer family.

I belive NCIX, DC, and Comp200 are all one and the same, just diffrent people with-in ncix run it (ie very few people in charge of DC, so thats reason for crap support as opposed to ncix even thou they are technily one and the same)

It's good for the consumer, I bet NCIX/DC are not pleased.

I will use them for things ncix doesnt stock and for pricematch.

Just read the news a few mins ago. All I can say is: Newegg Canada...F*** YEAH!

Honestly though, NCIX's prices are pretty good as it is and if they continue to offer great service and good prices, I don't really see a reason to switch.

There has been an official .ca domain for years, I checked it occasionally.. I wonder if it'll really happen this time.

Nice, I really hope you can order through paypal without credit card confirmation or any of that bologna, that is the sole reason I ordered from NCIX (opposed to TD.com) because I dont have a credit card.

Question: Does Newegg require credit card confirmation from the .com site? If so, is it likely they would carry this on to Newegg Canada?

Im pretty psyched, Im expecting ALOT of money this summer and I'm looking to build my first real gaming machine, 2500-3000k range

Newegg on its way to Canada??

Newegg.ca - Coming Soon to a Canadian Computer Monitor Near You in 2008 has launched

It seems like Newegg is finally on its way to officially enter the Canadian market with the launch of their .ca domain. We have asked Newegg for comment regarding this and are expecting an official statement from them by next week.

Without a doubt this is a boon for Canadian customers as Newegg has always been just a bit too far away with their amazing selection and great prices. Now, instead of being out of our reach it seem like they are on their way into direct competition with the etailers here in Canada. This could lead to a major shakeup of the Canadian retailer scene in the near future.

Stay tuned to this thread for more info!!!

DIGG LINK: Digg - Newegg CANADA? Looks like.... this time for REAL

Updates:

July 25th: Newegg CSR has confirmed that it is indeed a pre-launch site from Newegg.

July 25th:"Unofficial" confirmation that Newegg will be opening their doors in Canada "within the next few months" from one of our supporting manufacturers who wishes to be left anonymous for now.
THANK FREAKING GOD !

I'm getting sick and tired of NCIX's shit ...
