Exactly, who cares if they ship from Canada!

I will give newegg a try, if I don't like them, I'll gladly go back to NCIX and just price match it. That is if the product is cheaper at newegg.
I guess it will be the best time to buy during their opening since they will likely have some promotions to get things going - Given their logistics I don't see how they can be better than DC in terms of prices - DC still looks like a good deal for those who are comfortable with hardware and don'T require immediate tech support. but we'll see. Most people I know in the U.S. order from NewEgg, and before I found out about DC I too wanted to order from NewEgg but they didn't ship to Canada.

I'd rather support the Canadian economy and continue buying mainly from NCIX. They may not have all of the parts I need (black cable sleeving, for example...); but I've survived all those years without Newegg. If I need them special parts I will order from the States (Sidewinders and Performance-PCs most of the time). But that is very rare, and will definitely Pricematch Newegg at NCIX.

Hopefully NCIX will PM, if stuff is shipped from the US they probably won't. Im thinking they will have a Canadian distro though, would be stupid not to.

Newegg CSR has confirmed that it is indeed an actual Newegg pre-launch site.

All updates will be posted in the first post.

If newegg didn't have a Canadian distribution centre. We would be then subject to, import taxes/duty and the dreaded UPS brokerage fee!
All in all newegg expanding north benefits us, the consumer, we get increased competition therefore better prices (well we better get 'em). I hope to see them open up shop soon.
really Canada only has 3 major retailers( That I can think of) Netlink(NCIX,DC,and another site), TigerDirect, and Canada Computers. newegg will provide a nice addition to the etailer family.
