So Newegg is going to open in Canada I see….and they are having a sweepstakes Newegg.ca - Coming Soon to a Canadian Computer Monitor Near You in 2008

Personally I think it will be good for the consumer that NCIX will have some competition in the E-retailer computer market in Canada, it will lessen there dominance of it some I would think. How about you what do you think/feel about this?

Just signed up for it, too, but then I read this in the sweepstakes rules:

'Each selected winner will be required to correctly answer
a time-limited skill testing question without assistance in order to be eligible to receive a
prize or such prize will be forfeited.'

That's standard legalese for all "free" contests in Canada (excluding Quebec of course...). It usually amounts to something like ((5+4)-3) / 2 = ?.

Not sure if we've got any lawyers here to clarify, but I always assumed it had something to do with the licensing requirements of the cut the government gets out of pay-to-play contests.
