Affordable 150 MPG car coming soon
Budapest (Hungary) - You wouldn’t expect the country of Hungary to be an automotive powerhouse, but it strongly desires to be the green car capital of the world. By 2012 Antro Solo want to produce a solar, human and gas-electric hybrid vehicle that drives more than 150 miles per gallon of gas. The Antro Solo is not only the most fuel efficient vehicle currently thought of, but will also be extremely affordable, costing consumers around $20,000.
TG Daily - Affordable 150 MPG car coming soon
Well the part I find funny is the pedal power. Keep on pedaling kids lol. So it gets 150 MPG when in solar power mode but what about gase mode because we all know that 10-15 kms isn't going to go far. Anyways I like the looks of the car.
They are kidding us with a design like that.. right? RIGHT??!?one!?!eleven!??questionmark!?
Being serious for a moment though, it would seem the future will bring vehicles even worse than I had ever feared. :/
90 mph in a 600 lbs car? If a gust of wind doesn't rub you out a gopher jumping out infront of you just might.
Looks like a big jelly bean.
They obviously do not live in Moose country. Ouch!
We will never see this car here ... really not adapted for our roads. I prefer to live with the dream that the car manufacturers will shortly import their diesel engines over the Atlantic sea.
With the new low sulfur diesel and the new technology, the new generation diesel engines are comming cleaner and quieter than ever before (comming really close to regular gas engine and sometimes better) and are, I think, the better short time solution to get through gas price elevation.
A diesel toyota Yaris only take 4l/100km (70,5mi/gal) on the highway and 5,4l/100km (52mi/gal) in city. That is the real thing and it is available right now. A diesel Rav4 take 5,6l/100km (50mi/gal) on highway. Ok .. it's sure you don't have the same fun has with the 3,5 V6 of 268hp that is availaible here (and that my mom own ... by the way really impressive with all this power and it's 18" wheels ...).
Maybe when Honda will bring his new Accord with their new diesel engine that is supposed te be sold next year on our lands, the other manufacturers will start to do the same. Since, all we can do is complain and be patient .
