Default ASUS, BFG, EVGA & Zotac Overclocked GeForce GTX 280's Announced

There were countless GeForce GTX 280 models announced today, so I decided to select the four most interesting (read: fastest!) models:
"ASUS, producer of top quality graphic solutions, has today introduced the world’s first overclocking version of the latest generation of NVIDIA GPUs – the GeForce™ GTX 280 and GeForce™ GTX 260 chipset; with the ENGTX280 TOP and ENGTX260 TOP graphic cards. This powerful series of graphics cards provides 12% improvements in gaming experiences with the ENGTX280 TOP/HTDP/1G. Additionally, the ASUS ENGTX280/G/HTDP/1G and ENGTX260/G/HTDP/896M will also come bundled with the latest game, Alone in the Dark."

Core Clock: 670Mhz
Memory Clock: 2430Mhz
Shader Clock: 1460Mhz

"BFG Technologies®, Inc., the leading North American and European supplier of advanced NVIDIA-based 3D graphics cards, power supplies, and other PC enthusiast products, announced today the BFG NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 280 H2OC™ 1GB graphics card, which is the fastest factory overclocked board available.

The BFG GeForce GTX 280 H2OC 1GB graphics card with ThermoIntelligence water cooling solution offers exceptional thermal performance in a single slot design. Co-developed by BFG and Danger Den™, the ThermoIntelligence® custom copper water block is totally silent and allows the GTX 280 GPU to be factory overclocked to the highest stable level—delivering up to a 52°C lower GPU operating temperature than reference cooling solutions."
Core Clock: 680Mhz
Memory Clock: 2450Mhz
Shader Clock: 1458Mhz

"The best of both worlds! Unbeatable performance provided by the EVGA GTX 280 with the super cooled technology that the EVGA Hydro Copper 16 Waterbock has to offer. Enjoy incredible performance with out even breaking a sweat. The EVGA GTX 280 guarantees a new level of visual experience while the EVGA Hydro Copper 16 Waterblock provides the latest in liquid cooled innovation. Capable of working in both 2-Way and 3-Way SLI, the EVGA GTX 280 HC offers all the latest features, technology, and speed coupled with efficient cooling to provide an unbeatable, enhanced experience like never before."

Core Clock: 691Mhz
Memory Clock: 2430Mhz
Shader Clock: 1458Mhz

"The ZOTAC GeForce GTX 280 and GTX 280 AMP! Edition pack an unprecedented 240 processor cores into a single graphics card for unparalleled performance to provide users with an extreme HD gaming experience ready to tackle the latest DirectX 10 titles at resolutions up to 2560x1600 without breaking a sweat.

Accompanying the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 280 series graphics processors are large amounts of video memory to accommodate the ever-increasing textures used by the latest 3D games and applications. The ZOTAC GeForce GTX 280 and GTX 280 AMP! Edition have 1GB blazing-fast GDDR3, ready to take on anything."

Core Clock: 700Mhz
Memory Clock: 2300Mhz
Shader Clock: 1400Mhz

Each of these cards provides a healthy clock increase over the default 602Mhz/1296Mhz/2214Mhz settings, but you should be ready to pay a pretty penny for these pre-overclocked models.

My System Specs

Default

Aside from paying more from what we have read from Sky's review it might give some sort indication that there could be a little problem with noise and cooling from these overclocked versions, aside from the water cooled versions I see no difference in the design of cooler. Clearly it works, but I would imagine that most are going to be opting to watercool this or wait for an effective and quiet aftermarket gpu cooler.
