Default AMD Launches Website For ATI Radeon HD 4870 Series

That's right, the website for the upcoming ATI Radeon HD 4870 series is up & running!

There's not much in the way of new information, but the "Unleash One Tera" slogan clearly suggests that the HD 4870 or HD 4870 X2 will break the teraflop barrier.

This makes me want one even more. I think I am going to get the Asus Maximus Formula in the for sales thread so I can have 2 of these new cards in crossfier. I have been wanting a crossfier setup capable mother board and think that is the one :). Anyways the new 4870's are suppose to be beasts of a card and also have a built in havoc PPU.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Havok software only? I know CoH used the Havok physics to great effect...

The Maximus Formula has more features and full 16x/16x speeds.

You're referring to x16 physical lanes, but the second full-sized slot in a P35 chipset is only x4 electrical, which is the maximum that the chipset will support. Whereas the Maximus with its X38 chipset, has full x16 electrical in both lanes.
