Default Twitch.tv Acquired by Amazon for $970 Million

After all the rumours of Twitch about to be bought out by Google, there was an official announcement today that Amazon has purchased the game streaming service for $970 million.

I personally believe Amazon was the better choice. It was said in the press release that twitch will be a separate entity but backed by Amazon so this has the potential to be something great.
