Well, we already have Virgin. How is that working out?

Just because Verizon is in Central Canada (???), does not necessairly mean I will be getting a deal in NL

Not really, Virgin Mobile is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bell Mobility, aka Bell is it's parent company, just like Rogers is Fido's parent company.

Or this could turn from Big 3 into Big 4.

Strange, I had nothing but issues with Virgin and nothing but good things to say about my Bell experience.

My thoughts exactly. Big companies, Big unions and Big government. Cronies everywhere. Destroying everything for a buck.

Giving us less and less all the time.

I realize this is just a start for a new (to Canada) wireless provider but seriously, every time I travel elsewhere in the world I get reminded how terribly we get shafted in Canada when it comes to telco services and pricing.

For example, I pay $165 for my Bell Fibe TV and 25Mbps internet plan monthly. I can get the same with Verizon for under $100. That's a MIGHTY large difference.

Or how about this past May? I went to Europe for 2 weeks and used a local SIM card. With that SIM card I talked in total for about 60 minutes with Canada (and lots locally too) plus I used data. Total bill for my overseas adventure? Equivalent of $35 Canadian. Had I used my Rogers SIM card over there, I would've been destroyed with $350.

Would be cool if Verizon decided to flex it's muscles and take market share from Big 3 as opposed to joining them. One can dream I suppose.

Hmm, if that's the case, why is it those other countries have such great deals? I think the issue is deeper than having more companies in Canada. Could be wrong, but do you see Verizon coming here and cutting the competitions throats?

I mean, how is Win Mobile doing? Can't compete with all that gouging going on?
