It looks to be about the same thickness of rad as the h100, so if the h100 fits in the 500r you should be fine and the fans come pre screwed to the rad :D

That's so smart! I bought a h-100 this summer that was a dud (dead pump), returned and go my money back because they were out of stock. It also had a whole bunch of bent fins. Shipping the unit with the fans should protect at least one side from superficial fin damage.

I saw a video on it, looks pretty sweet! Also it appears to be a double thick rad.

Its not a double thick rad per say. The extra thickness on the end is so you can drain and refill the loop.

Barring any weird launch issues I'll probably go to this for both my rigs. Will have to see some in the wild first.

Based on the expandability of this unit and the fact that the pump is mounted in the block where is the reservoir supposed to be since it's supposed to directly feed the pump?

Res is in the rad I thought where you see the fill port.
