After a message was posted to Scythe USA’s website, many claimed the company was going out of business. HWC dug a bit deeper and found that Scythe will still be around.

Damn....Scythe had some neat stuff that I used over the years. Its a shame to see these tech companies going under after so many years...

So, the way I read this is that some disgruntled U.S. employee (maybe he was gruntled before?) was getting downsized because of this situation and decided to preemptively post this message on their webwsite on his way out the door.
