They better hit it out of the park with BB10. I am rooting for them but the public is very fickle and the press loves slagging them. :blarg:

I'm not so optimistic about them having a "next decade" at all.

I'm still hopeful that they'll pull something good out of the ol' arse.

They need to get through this current one I agree

The fact that they think BB10 will get them through 10 years confirms my suspicions that it is bad. No technology will last 10 years, they thought BB7 would take them and they were wrong, BB7 quickly became outdated and even if BB10 is good it will quickly become outdated too.

Well there was IE6 which lasted more than a decade unfortunately :haha:
(Of course that needed a lot of help from bonehead corporate developers who thought it was a great idea to make their timesheet and other software only compatible with it - I doubt any mobile platform dev will do that these days.)

Well it was crap for most of those 10 years there just weren't any alternatives for the reasons you stated. For BB10 there are already alternatives before it is even released.

They also cant build a touch screen phone worth a damn yet.... I think they may get it eventually but its anyones guess

I'm hoping he means QNX, which BB10 is based upon.
