This could be very interesting. If it is going to be an overclocker's board, you could build a very powerful system with this with a very small footprint.

While I'm no expert in OC and related hardware, it doesn't come with the extra board that Asus comes with. Would that make a difference in term of OC performance?

Interestingly in reviews I've seen for the Asrock Z77 itx board very strong overclocks were still achieved even though that board also doesn't have the VRM riser board.

I always say, it's not the technology but the implementation of the technology that counts. I'm not saying that the Asus board is poor in any way, it's a great board. Just that we will see when the EVGA itx board drops..........it should be interesting.
