That's the quoted TOS for the original denial of RMA, with absolutely no comment from newegg about what part of it installing linux would contravene.... I don't see anything in there unless they're implying that installing linux would be "improper use".
So, I would assume that upgrading to a new(er) version of windows would also qualify under that same ruling?
