Wii U no blu ray/DVD player

lolercopter, I know a lot of people in their 30's that can barely handle plugging the HDMI cable in and finding the right input on their TV, you think the average consumer has the ability to figure that stuff out? I'm not sure that it matters as most people DO have a dvd or bluray drive already but streaming from anything beyond built in services is way beyond the masses. Not that they couldn't figure it out, they just don't want to be bothered.

Couldn't tell you the last time I heard of anyone I know using a disk of any kind bar to install a hard copy of a game or for console games..

Watching movies from disks has been relegated to the dark ages.
Who doesn't have a dvd player anyway, they are like €20.. Blue-ray.. I know of very few people who ever bothered with them as most people don't care about quality above dvd anyway and the cost is extortionate.

IMO, make it a dvd player but forget blu ray.. waste of time and money.


I do however think that they are in trouble because the uniqueness they had initially with the wii evaporated a while back and they need something new to compensate.
