sounds cool, but it's so much press speak that I'm not sure what to believe until it actually goes into real world action.

We'll have additional content up later. Basically: non-press speak.

Since you can't stream 1080p reliably over wireless connections, I'm not sure how well this would work. And wouldn't it suck up a large portion of your bandwidth / cap just like Netflix?

draemn May 15, 2012 05:30 PM

Big companies who deplay bandwidth intensive products get a very reasonable rate on bandwith compared to the artificial caps put on most consumer plans... it's only really the consumer who has to worry about bandwidth and streaming quality from what I can tell.

SugarJ May 15, 2012 07:25 PM

By consumer you mean the guy playing the game and paying for the service from Onlive and the like. It's still an issue.

It is a non-starter in Canada with bandwidth caps.

I don't get it?! Maybe it's because I'm French Canadian (Lol) but basically what are they saying... That Nvidia will have super gaming computers and that we will be able to stream from them?

dustin1706 June 3, 2012 06:26 PM

Sounds a bit like the old "on-demand" playstation system hotels use (or used to anyway)

gingerbee June 3, 2012 06:50 PM

ya they have been talking about this the ceo was bragging it on the last cs3. future of gaming play any game on any device cause it is rendered on the server/rig it's steaming from so we will see we will lol :thumb:
