Where did you see the price? Maybe it won't be that high for those of us who've already got $530 invested waiting for stock..... :)

edit: NVM... it's on their store website..... $80 premium over a SC+ for an extra 2G, A slight bump in core, and a drop in mem speeds.

I didnt have to see a price to know its too rich for this mans blood . When gpu's start hitting monthly mortgage payments, I'd rather take a trip to 'Mehico' senior.

If we ignore price, the question is, do I buy this or the GTX 690 to game at 2560x1440 at maximum settings for the conceivable future.

Keeping in mind that I would prefer a waterblock either way, I'm assuming they'll make some.

Ignoring price then the 690 no question. Not only does it perform like a beast, it looks great as well.

IMO go 4gb 680, then sli in 3 years time when it doesnt fry every game on the market anymore, then fry on for another 3 years.
