Thumbs up Updated version for Samaritan Demo, instead of 3x580,it's only one KEPLER!

Hello HWC peeps!
Yes the epic real-time rendrering of EPIC GAMES,presnted in GDC 2011 using the Unreal Engine 3.9 (essentially what is to consider a DX11 version of this Engine) with all brand new technologies
Now this demo was running the last year on 3 GTX580s,to render all that stuff in real time at 30FPS,now it's running after few tweaks and optimisations on the Engine, and the driver, and using this brand new architecture,it taked only one card of the next generation NVIDIA GPU to run it!so at the very least the Kepler will be as triple as fast as a GTX 580 (and when i said at the very least,i know there's too many things entered the equation to make this happen, one of them is using NVDIA's FXAA 3,instead of the 500MB frame-buffer MSAAx4!!)

So it took 3x 580's before and after optimizations it runs the same on 1 kepler card. I'm not sure how you figure kepler is atleast 3x faster, I would say 2x at most. Also that could largely be due to the small frambuffer on 580's. You could put in 4 580's and you would see marginal fps increases.

Another thing is, is that tri-SLI on a gtx 580 on multiple monitors is super messed up and causes your cards to run slower.

I would expect a 680 to be 30 to 40% faster.

Nvidia and ATI have a formula that works, they know that they need a certain amount of percentage for the flagship card or it won't sell. Also, they need to keep it to consumer expectations so that it's "worth" the $500 to $600 price tag.

LOL ever heard of a thing called overhead?

Probably the GTX 680 will be about 30 - 40% faster than the GTX 580 but of course an SLI configuration with any of these cards will cost something in terms of overhead.

And don't forget the law of diminishing return. That applies to both AMD and nVidia.
