i5 2550k...swap integrated graphics for a 100mhz at stock....seems kind of useless unless its cheaper than a 2500k (not that I use integrated, but I would rather have it and OC the 1 multiplier). Not surprised they are making these chips though. I am sure intel has a huge amount of CPU stocked up that have defective graphics in them. If the price is right it will be a great way to get a decent CPU.

Yeah I am all for no IGP anyways if it saves me a bit of Coin on the CPU.

Since, for the vast majority of us the IGP is a waste.

i5-2550K has an MSRP of US$225, so no price advantage over the i5-2500K -- it's actually more expensive since the i5-2500K has an MSRP of US$216. Trading 100MHz for an IGP and $9 is not a good idea unless, as noted above, it makes a significant difference in overclocking potential. Only way I can see that is if the power-gating to the IGP is complete -- but isn't it already complete on this generation of chips if the IGP isn't being used?
