Default CES 2012: Samsung Announces Galaxy Note for North America

Tablets were the dominant theme at last year’s Computex, and Samsung came out of the show as one of the leading players. Their Galaxy Note looks good, but does it have what it takes to make a dent in Apple’s iPad market share?

Android 2.3 is STILL very capable of doing a lot of things and isn't super hardware intensive so I'm gonna assume this is gonna be a cheaper and smaller version of the Tab

The Note has already been available in the EU for a while now. It has received excellent reviews regardless of 2.3.

The point is not that it can't perform under 2.3 but more like it's meant to be a small tablet more than everything else ( 5.3 screen ) so why not running ICS that is meant to make tablet and phone on the same level? Also use the benefit of more performing ICS or even 3.0. I also understand that it's easier for Samsung to use the Galaxy S already ready Android 2.3 phone version but I truly hope that an upgrade will be available soon.
