Default Hard Drive Manufacturers Cut Warranty Periods

Citing a need to “align to current Industry standards”, Seagate has announced it intends to reduce warranty periods on its hard drives, matching a move done by competitor Western Digital.

he? Seagate have done this since the 7200.11 fiasco no? Getting all 7200.11/12 drive to 3 years of warranty instead of 5.

repost. already a discussion about this.

and it wasn't .11 drives as i have a couple working fine. it was a select group made between oct to jan and mostly was 1tb drives

^^Never said it was all .11 drive. only pointed the series since the batch was in this range.

You can read it the way you want. Anyway, with the noise that recent seagate drive make while working I concider they are fiasco.

Going with your way to see thing I could say that Eldonko in this review said that all P67 B2 board were crap? read the first paragraph.
