9800gx2 Official Leaks At Cebit08!!

CeBit 2008: Some leaks of the 9800 GX2 | Tom's Hardware

"Although the launch of the GeForce 9800 GX2 was postponed to March 18, it didn't stop it from making a timid appearance on some of the most daring booths. The official order has been not to show the card.

$700-800, LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another MAJOR failure from Nvidia...............

This card....is an EPIC FAILURE.

who is going to pay $700-800 (I know some of you Uber-enthusiasts will :canadianwave:), but that is just way out of most peoples price range. The sweet spot is between $180 to $350 but anything more is usually left to the minority.

I paid $750 for my GTX ACS3 edition as soon as it came out a year and a half ago. I still feel as though it was worth it, it still plays games mighty fine

This card is no cheaper or faster than 8800GTS 512MB SLI and costs the same or MORE. This card is not worth the price premium. 8800GTX was worth the price premium and is still a good card.

I think the performance is still unconfirmed at this point. Let's see some more benchmarks before judging how good it is.

Wow... that thing is a brick! Probably gona be hot too with 2 g92s next to eachother... i think nvidia got caught with it's pants down when ATI introduced their last die shrink. Nvidia will catch up soon, i imagine.. but damn..

belgolas March 5, 2008 08:11 PM

Umm... I don't have the link but I think it was HExus that talked to an Nvidia guy and said it was a G98 not a G92.

Funny how rumors can make such a mountain out of a mole hill.

Look at what happened with the 8800 GT situation and its happening again with this bad boy..

Only TIME will truely tell its performance and if it maybe worth a $600 price tag.
