RIM Launches Cross-Platform Smartphone Management Tool
 

In a step that may mark the beginning of an exit from the hardware market, embattled smartphone manufacturer Research in Motion (RIM) is rolling out software that allows enterprise customers to manage and secure iPhone and Android devices using Blackberry technology.

This is a step in the right direction for RIM, though really this should have been out a year or two ago. Though I suspect it may have taken a while to get some deals/agreements in place with Apple and Google.

I wonder how many patents it costed RIM to pull this one off since everyone know that Apple likes to be paid in Patent now, not money anymore :rofl:

Good to see that RIM is trying something new to try and stay alive. Hope it works out for them.
