Default New Li-ion Battery Design Boosts Energy Capacity and Charge Rate 10-Fold

http://www.popsci.com/science/articl...e-rate-10-fold

and here is the official University Press Release:

Better Batteries : Northwestern University Newscenter

I for one look forward to see if this technically will eventually make it to the commercial scene as this could really help out battery life in all sorts of things from smartphones, to laptops, to electric cars as well (though I'm not quite sure what kind of batteries they use), to essentially anything we use li-ion batteries in.

This could really lend a hand with a zombie apocalypse too

hm that's awesome. Unfortunatly phone using this battery are gonna be dead rare and damn expensive. Or, engi are gonna make them un-reliable as they are used to do.
