this huge cooler thing has got to stop.... aren't processors making less and less heat? Why do we need such huge coolers?

that being said, I bought a ninja copper today lol

Not quite!

My e8400 at 4.3ghz puts off 70' of heat under full load with a Ultra 120!

A review. Sort of...
58C for a E6300 stock in full load doesn't seems right for that monster.

Default sticking out the back

I think the prof's right, it may have to screw in to the back of the case.

Here's a question. aren't we reaching the limit of how good copper is at pulling heat off silicon? like, at some point doesn't more heat pipes become irrelevant without active refrigeration, because room temperature air can only absorb so much heat?

at some point, only water can do you any further good.

This is nothing. When I was at Anitec a few months ago, they had a 30cm (yes, 30 CENTIMETERs - 300mm) CPU heatsink and fan on display but not for sale. The heatsink had copper pipes leading to a huge 30cm x 30cm aluminum heatsink, and the fan's diameter was 30cm.
