It's really not that far fetched for me when you look at their base turbo clocks 5ghz really isn't that much of a bump... 800mhz isn't a long way to go.

While I agree we need to see the performance numbers too 5ghz really shouldn't be too difficult.

While its interesting to see "suicide run" numbers...who in their right minds is going to do 2.1v to get it...sure as hell wont be me.

Im wit 'donk on this one. Show me some "Steak" not this PR "Sizzle" and I will get excited.
With that being said I truly HOPE it kicks ass and can do 5GHz at modest voltages (hell I want to see what it can do with STOCK voltages). Would LOVE to see 1155 and BD go head to head for customers money (I doubt it will be able to compete against SB-E ...but who cares, thats the enthusiast "Im made of money" line). :)

Remember they did the same kind of suicide runs with the PII back then and we all know how it worked out.

This Celly saw 8.3. That clock is about the same significance as this, doesnt mean a whole lot but looks cool.

CPU-Z Validator 3.1

Impressive, but you have to keep in mind that only 2 cores were enabled when they did the overclock..
