AMD Names Former Lenovo Exec to be CEO
 

AMD has named Rory P. Read, former President and Chief Operating Officer of Lenovo, to be its CEO. Read’s appointment to the position concludes a seven month search that began when former CEO, Dirk Meyer, resigned after disagreements with the AMD board over mobile strategy and failed server chip business.
