I suppose these would be OK for a budget build...but not really what I was expecting. With the Radeon branding, you'd think it would be geared toward more of a gaming grade PC (i.e. tighter timings and some red heat-spreaders, for example) instead of a budget machine.

But still...it's tough to beat the price at the NCIX link.

I'd think this is the kind of approach that would reinforce a "Radeon = White Box" association among the general public. Can't imagine why they'd want that. And usually "Gaming" branding involves flashy looks, which these are utterly devoid of. Very strange.

Agree with everyone. Timings are a joke (for anyone that really needs performance), but I can't really say anything bad other than that. A 2gb stick of ddr3 for $9.99 at NCIX is just ridiculously cheap. If I was doing a budget build right now I would throw 2 sticks in for sure.

Well, looks to me that AMD is trying to go the way of the Apple, total system intergration - next Radeon motherboards. :)

Now we wait and see for people with Llano builds asking why their system is seriously underperforming compared to what they see in reviews...
I think it was just a mistake to brand 1600 at 11 CAS as "gaming" of any kind, especially when AMD's own socket F1 suffers the most from loose timings out of every platform released so far. You need to have that "Hand selected"? Maybe they mean a person on the line has to bring the whole box of working sticks from one table to another

Leftovers from GPU assemblies that they had to get rid of somehow?
