Telus has their new BlackBerry page up: Smartphones*|* Phones & devices*|* TELUS Mobility

I will miss the bigger Shift buttons on the 9900 though.

The 9930 is a hell of a phone. I had the opportunity to fiddle with the 9850 as well recently and can say it too is an excellent device.

I'm thinking if blackberry doesn't pull something out of their hat soon they aren't going to be around too long. Seems like they are dying a slow death as it is. Obviously it's nice to have a Canadian company in the smartphone arena, just don't see a lot of action from them really. As much as I hate Apple I do like the iPhone and when it comes time to switch the only other thing that looks promising is an Android based phone. FWIW, I do use my phone for business about 90% of the time using email and calendar.

If you use your phone for predominantly email, buying a touch-screen device is a big, big mistake IMO.

I have a friend who says that keyboards are stupid. I asked him how he sends long emails with his. He says he doesn't send emails with his phone.

Like you said Sky, keyboard is a must for typing emails.

Can't wait to get my 9900.

I find the Blackberry OS to be unbearably clunky and slow. I'm on a Android Samsung Galaxy S right now, which is moderately better though, and I hate to say it, it is no iPhone.

Same phone here ... You're right it is no iPhone. It is much better than. Once you delve into custom ROM's and spend some time customizing it ... aka dumping the horrible Samsung UI, it is a great phone. Much more versatile than the iPhone IMO. I'll be upgrading to the II once I'm back in Canada and I can't wait.

Yah ... and to stay on topic ... I do agree with you about the Blackberry OS ... it feels very antiquated. It's slow and annoying, and I can't stand the keyboard. The keys are too small (and no I don't have big fingers :) I've had a 3GS and Galaxy S so I guess I'm just too used to a full on touch screen.
