Default Logitech Posts Dramatic Quarterly Loss, Starts Looking for new CEO

Logitech is looking for a new CEO after the company ended the first quarter of its 2012 fiscal year with a net loss of $29.6 million. In the interim Guerrino De Luca, who was Logitech’s chief executive from 1998 to 2008, has taken charge of the embattled peripherals manufacturer.

If they would start doing cheaper and cheaper and more and more expensive product with the growing competition maybe they wouldn't lost that much money?

I would hate to see them die ... They are one of the few companies left that actually has excellent customer service, and their products (mice, keyboards) have always been very good for the price. At least in my opinion. All my mice/keyboards have been Logitech and I would hate to change that.

I still have my cordless elite duo. I haven't used it lately, but it still works!

Same here, except mine's not the annoying layout you have in the pic. Still use it quite a bit, but I have to clean the traces every year or so or the keys start to get unresponsive. After a decade of use, the rubber domes have proven to be fairly resilient. I can't say that for any of my other numerous rubber dome keyboards though...

If you look at the breakdown, the Harmony division has been particularly hard hit. IMO, it is likely due to the numerous universal remote apps available for smartphones.
