But does it actually make use of the USB3 speeds?

I believe the USB2 versions pretty much maxed out the bandwidth, I doubt you'll see 80mb/sec reads after burst, but perhaps we'll see around 40.

Thank god that finally one of the big memory companies is pushing the USB3 agenda forward. USB2 is way too slow and it was saturated by MANY products a long time ago.

It's great to see the arrival of these new USB drives. I'll happily replace my 64GB Voyager GTR with one of these new USB3 bad boys. :) You need to have USB3 ports on your most frequently used machines of course but I figure most of us on this forum have USB3-capable mobos.

Would love to see a review...

I have been more than happy with my Voyager USB sticks, good speed, and they take a s**t kicking. I used to use mine for sharing files with buddies at work. Been dropped in the snow, mud, floated around it a inch of water in my lunchkit ( Yay for working in the rain) and it once got tossed out of a moving truck. Sure they have been scratched up a bit and I am now missing a cap on one but they both work just fine.
When I need a new one I believe this would be the one I pick up.
