On a typical 9 cell battery you're still looking at over 20 hours. Thats double my CULV laptop.
Even if that is with every battery saving feature and zero brightness, thats impressive. Real world use, you're probably talking 15+ hours of wordprocessing etc.
I'm impressed. Now lets see some Zacate vs SB performance numbers! |
You've got it wrong. Using either the T520 or T420 casing, you could house a 9 cell battery (15h uptime claim but real life use is more like 8-9h) + a 3 cell ultra bay (around 2 hours) + a 9 cell slice that attachs itself under the laptop using the dock port. I'm not sure even with this stuff that you could reach 30h unless you shut off the screen and shut down wifi.
And then, you're carrying a 6.5lb laptop.
I'll wait for the reviews before considering them, I've heard the T420 is supposed to be thinner than the last generation.

Lenovo didn't reinvent batteries or use magic processors. The actual T410 and T510 are rated for up to 11 and 12 hours by Lenovo. I've yet to see mine go over 8.5h of use, even though a full battery meter will show up to 12h if I sit idle on the desktop for long enough.
