Nice to see AMD wants you to buy/have not one but 2 display port mini adapters (to standard display port or dvi) if you want to use eyefinity or more then one monitor.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it a little worrisome to see 1 X 8 pin and 1 X 6 pin on a dual Cayman card?
I mean the dual-GF110 prototypes have dual 8 pins...

Let me explain myself better. I KNOW the 5970 had one 8 pins and one 6 pins (dual cypress card). now, with a even more powerful card, sporty dual-Cayman, same power requirements? Could it be that the two GPUs are severely crippled, or that the "power management" circuitry is hard at work throttling the card to keep with appropriate power envelope????

Also, NO HDMI?????????? It's a SIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If its Dual Cayman with only a 8 and 6 Pin for power. Than its 6950 Cores, not 6970's. Unlike the flagship 5970 which had dual 5870 cores.

STill, as a single card solution it should be good. If you can find a case that will accept it.

It will likely be similar to the HD 5970 where they customized the cores, dropping the speeds to 5850 levels in order reduce voltage and overall power consumption.

In this case, my thoughts are that we'll have the full capabilities of the 6970, with 6950 clocks.

Default Slight issue

I just noticed a humongous fail this card has. The fan in the middle. Put 2 of those in CrossFire and airflow will be an ISSUE. That vent has NO space to draw air. So, if you buy it, say bye bye from corssfire. And yes, that is besides the 8+6 pin connector. If they managed to squeeze a 6950, it won't be able to overclock. It will have no options on drawing power. AMD/ATi hat a very good starting point with the 5k series, and they just went wrong. Hopefully the 7k generation won't be a series of Boxes. I wish they come back to the bad-ass design that the 5870 had :D

Very possible, just a speculation.

If this is the case, and the price isnt a good selling point to buy one of these, then ill wait and buy two non-referense 6970s and OC the crap outta them.

Any rumors on that front? Non reference cooling or pcb design from any partners?
