Default AMD Phenom 9600: Black Edition

After reading two reviews I'm having mixed feelings about this new BE from AMD.

Bjorn3D was only able to get the new Phenom from 2.3GHz to 2.5GHz Where [H]ard OCP was able to get theirs to 3.0GHz.

I really had high hopes on this, should be interesting to see what other people get though, as those are 2 completely different OC's o_O

Default some potential at least

At least the review of the one with the higher OC managed to OC a group of chips to 2.8 and over...rather than just relying on one chip to base the review on. Maybe with some Bios updates and the newer AMD GPUs things will finally come together a bit more for AMD with the phenom.

BTW you can preorder the 45nm Q9*** 2.4 or 2.66ghz chips now friom NCIX. The latter was about $365 a fair bit more than the 316 per $1000 estimate a few months ago. If the Phenoms dont step it up a bit more then thats where it may stay for awhile the E8*** were closer to the per 1000 estimate.
