I like the slider, but im unsure of its OS. I suppose Android is coming along quite nicely, but for use as a tablet & netbook, im not sure if it has everything it needs. Most Apps in android's repertoire don't fit the bill for a netbook IMO.

The slate looks nice, but i dont see why Asus went with another core i-whatever processor inside. A dual-core Atom of even, far better yet, the new AMD fusion would've been a far better choice - especially in terms of battery life. I really dont want to carry a tablet around with me, with Windows 7, when the battery is going to die in under 3-4 hours.

the slider does look nice, the MeMo also has great potential, but I've never really been a fan of android, my tablet of choice right now is still the playbook but I will also eagerly be awaiting the 9th of February with high hopes.

I have the agree, 12 inches is much too big for a tablet, somewhere between 7 and 10 is probably the sweet spot. I am hoping that the rumors of the webos tablet with HP getting a digitizer are true.

10-11 inches is what I would think is the sweet spot for tablets. But if the weight could be small enough on the 12" then I think it would be a viable option.

That said I do like the slider but wish it was a windows 7 machine.

This. Why give a keyboard to a cellphone OS? Give me Win7 please.

Posted this in another thread but figured I better add it here:

Amazon.com: ASUS Eee Slate EP121-1A010M 12.1-Inch Tablet PC: Computer & Accessories

I know it says pre-order but my understanding is that it should be available right away.
