Can't say I am a fan of their designs either I think DD needs to start from scratch with their ideas.

Not sure about the copper top, but I love DD's build quality. As far as restriction is concerned, their GPU blocks have spanked every other competitor for several generations now, and with none of the "oops, we're not making contact with <insert important component here>". If I spring for a GTX580, these are definitely on my short-list.
