Can't wait to see what the 580 brings to the table the 6000 series doesn't.

I'm sure it'll be pricey. I just wonder how good the cooling will be, as the 106 dropped temps quite a bit. Looking forward to the reviews on this puppy!!!

Anyone that believes this is an accident is dense, pure and simple.

As for the release date, expect a paper launch the day before Cayman goes retail.

Was kind of the point of having the 'quotes' around it

NVIDIA always did have a better marketing tactic than AMD/ATI, people know what to expect and that something is coming. I remember for the GTX 480 launch even some of their employees were tweeting about leaks

People are still surprised that AMD launched a new video card last week. Unless you are a regular tech junky it basically passed everyone by because AMD tried to keep such a tight lid on the whole shindig. I don't think they quite understand the idea behind hype and marketing yet. Then again, it always seems like the least hyped stuff always turns out to be the best

I wonder if this is going to be similar to how AMD developed and named their AMD 6000 series GPUs, like copying Intel's Tick/Tock theory.
