This is the only benifit at the end of the day between red vs green. The consumer wins.

Guess my resale value of my video card just dropped. One thing to take note of is the November 14th date listed. Maybe I'm reading too much into a simple date but I wonder what will happen then. Will nvidia be reducing shipments of 470s?Further price drops? All in all, this is definitely good news for customers.

So now Nvidia have a huge gap price between 470 and 480? not good to me. Let's see how this will go and the reaction from AMD = Nvidia reaction to 6XXX.

My thoughts exactly
The GTX 480 is still $500 bones, and yet I can now pickup two GTX 460 1GB SLI for $400, which will blow the GTX 480 out of the water in almost every way, performance, heat, power....

They are going to completely cannibalize the 480 sales.
