Futuremark has implemented sponsorship promotions in order to partially subsidize the free version of 3DMark11. Expect Antec, MSI and some other companies to make appearances like Sapphire did in Vantage.

Ya, unfortunately much of the problem is that while the 3DMark benchmarking suite is an awesome program, there is a fairly limited audience actually willing to pay for it.

You see it in reviews all the time, but how many actually go out and buy it?

But that's alright, I think how they implemented the advertising is quite slick and works really well within the program. Glad they can continue to develop it and offer decent options

I've never been a fan of futuremark, I found vantage to be incredibly slow. I love heaven, it's like vantage but better and faster and more customizable and smaller and more efficient and it's free

I for one don't mind a bit of advertising if it means that we'll get a free version of 3Dmark to use. I actually had a legit copy of Vantage that came with some mushkin memory, but I shipped that off with the memory when I sold it.

I bought the Pro Pack 29 days before 3DMVantage got released, and thus got Vantage for free, otherwise I'd have never picked it up because you can't really try something out when you can only do one freaking run. I'll support the crappy logos as they've moved back to a 3DM06 way of handling submissions.

Yeah, I wish they'd start bundling it with hardware like they used to.
