Yah too bad, as the weak tesselation performance seems to be the only real draw back... not the 1GB frame buffer.

Oh wells >_<

from my(perhaps erroneous) calculations it will gain another 10 percent. if it unlocks(doubt it) so it will make a difference if youre on the edge of playability, or perhaps more but probably not a whole lot.

This wont do much and may lower performance if the ram has to be clocked slower. Don't get your hopes up of playing Metro 2033 maxed.....

it'll help with ultra large textures for sure, high resolutions will see a boost. It wont be much, as dan said probably a few percentage points, but it'll be there.

This will have little to no effect on performance IMO

From one review I saw of a 2gb 460, the cards were essentially neck and neck, with something equivalent to a 2-5 FPS difference.

if ur playing 1920x1200 on a GTX460 1GB ull be getting low fps

if ur playing 1920x1200 on a GTX460 2GB ull be getting Higher fps than the 1GB version and not by 2-4 fps maybe by like 10+ depending on the game & the card clocks
