it's prolly due to the enterence of gts 450 tier

In a good number of review I remember people questioning why the 768mb is being called 460 while it has a portion of the core disabled.

The 1gb actually makes a diff compare to 768mb one.

now that they make the 450 tier and with the 460 1gb price dropping they prolly want to place the 768mb 460 a better price point.. hence the price drop.

Also it will prolly win a greater market share against ATI.

Bewawa.com also have it at 179.99 price point without RMA I recall.
