I saw this yesterday and thought to myself ok, sure why not. Then I saw the price tags!?!... and LMAO. And then I thought there are like 2 360 games that aren't available on PC so WTF is this for exactly and why would they pay that much for this? They should make a PC/PS3 hybrid... that'd make more sense imo. As long as it isn't $10k lol.

Pricing for The Big O starts from $7,669
I'm going to assume that the base price gets you a single proc & GPU, so extend the price up towards $12 - 14K if you want to fully gear it up..... ;)

It'd be better to just be able to run XBOX off your pc, like an emulator but better. I'd pay for that.

I think the name is very fitting, reminds me of the Big O here in Montreal which has turned out to be such a waste of money.

In fairness though, there is a market for this kind of thing, and that market doesn't mind paying a premium.

Not something that the great majority of HWC members would be interested in (although pairing the two devices in the same box does have some appeal), but for well heeled, non-technically inclined customers, this might be just the ticket.

I've always wondered what kind of sales these kinds of boutique builds get... there must be a market, otherwise we wouldn't see so many of them around, although it does seem to me that the ones who have been around for any length of time, also build lower end machines.

In the words of Ross Perot, "Do you hear that sucking sound?" - The money being Hoovered out of your bank account!

Well, at least you can fold while Xbox gaming - not all is lost

Hmm. If the Xbox goes belly up in this rig, is it the Big O Of Death?

any pc hardware enthusiast could disassemble an xbox 360 and tack it somewhere inside a big pc case, but it would be an exercise in stupidity as there aren't really any benefits -- which is probably the market they're targeting: rich and dumb.
