Alpha for GW2 hasn't even started yet. Me and a few guys I used to play with in GW1 have been constantly begging Izzy and other developers to get in when it does. It seems like it's going to be happening soon though.
The artwork is stunning, though I'm still doubtful of the gameplay, especially PVP.

Was Guildwars the one that allowed you to set private sessions so that you could either single play or strictly limit access to just friends? I gave it a quick try when it first came out, but it seems to me that Oblivion came out around the same time and I never went back to check it out again.

Well everything in Guild Wars was instanced (except for towns, though in some way they were instanced), so you only played with people in your party.

@ilya ah yes, izzy, everybody's favourite skill nerfer. I agree with you though, I am most curious about the PvP. Having played several other MMOs Guild Wars had by far the most interesting PvP, so I hope they can improve it or at the very least not worsen it.
