Default Intel Prepping 25nm NAND Flash SSDs for Q4 2010

A joint venture between Intel and Micron earlier this year has resulted in Intel-Micron Flash Technologies (IMFT) 25 nm MLC NAND flash memory that will be used in the "G3" version of Intel branded SSDs. Smile Press Release

It would be a shame to introduce these new SSDs without the new sata 3 setup. As for prices, well if that doesn't start coming down soon, a lot less people will be switching over. If the prices for SSDs were more reasonable, I'd have switched my entire set of hds. With 4 desktops and 3 laptops, I would need a 2nd mortgage to make that change. Thank god for the BST thread.

Imho, SSD are good but OS drive, but they don't offer that much advantage in game. Like you save 1 second from a HDD to a 230meg/sec SSD.

Kingston are pretty nice for 199$ 128gig, witch make a great OS drive. Off course if one day they offer the same price and size people will switch, but we are not there yet

Pretty sure the 160 will be 199$US, the 300, 350$US and the 600 650$ in MSRP or close to that

The V will be around 149$US MSRP pretty sure..
