Ya, I wouldn't mind know the price. These 3D ready monitor are so stupid expensive.

Really digging the new Acer one though. Saw a demo at NCIX and it looks really good, especially for an Acer monitor.

I'm curious, can these perform as a regular monitor as well? I haven't seen any 3D monitors yet. Not all games are 3D so I would imagine they can. That said, I have heard that 3D gaming is awesome!

Yes, they can. What makes them "3D Ready" is the 120Hz refresh rate (the panel refreshes the picture 120 times per second, as opposed to the traditional 60).

As stated above, the 120Hz feature is what allows for 3D.

That said, when you compare a regular 120Hz LCD vs 60Hz LCD side by side, I actually find the picture noticeably crisper.


When I saw the demo they were playing the world cup and I comment how the Acer screen had a much nicer picture and seemed less "blurry" than the next to it, I was informed it was a 120Hz 3D ready screen.
