Default One needs the other.

The fact is the GPU won't operate independently of the CPU. They both have their purposes. I game so my Sapphire 5850 Toxic GPU provides me the graphics support that I desire. If I didn't game an independent GPU might not be even necessary because my motherboard has one built in. Even if the GPU was just 14 times faster that is still significant. I see no significance to this whole topic. I'm I missing something?
