Sounds like it could be quite a little addition to someone unwilling or unable to upgrade. Seems like a reasonable price, a tad pricey, but not bad. Even if you have a new board and are using all the ports, it allows expansion.

Well my opinion since i dont want a random Molex connector hanging out of nowhere connected to the card, i recommend the EVGA "EVGA Announces EU30 USB 3.0 PCI-E Host Card | Hardware Canucks
it does not require a molex connector
