quite interesting. would love to see a desktop 12 core's (plus hyperthreading) 22nm based chip thermal sheet.

um.... this is supposed to be a new architecture, right? So, I would expect the 2.5 ghz to at least perform as well as the Nehalem 2.8, if not better... maybe I expect too much

Thats what I was thinking...those benchmarks don't look that impressive.

Definitly... With the Core I3/5/7 naming scheme not making any distinction between different sockets, features, architechture, release and else... ok, it's quite simple.. but how confusing for consumers..

Well, Intel can afford to do this... They're so far in the lead that people will buy it, no matter what it's called. We need more competition, AMD has been licking major bag for a very long time...

BTW I just saw Iron Man 2 tonight; why can't we be there with technology?
