It really seems like ASUS is a company that is able to attack any area of the market these days and their announcements from Computex go a long way to proving this. We've go info about everything from smartphones and tablets to speakers and a new version of the O!Play.... [ Read full article ]

Hmm, so much interesting looking stuff, so little money. What's wrong with this picture eh?

I've been favourable impressed with Asus, aside from their motherboards, I started using their monitors about a year ago. Not to mention video cards etc. Though I did once pick up a budget asus case for 20 or 25 bucks, some ridiculous amount. Ugly, a pain to work in, but did the job. Not that I'd ever get another, it was just curiousity getting the best of me.

That ASUS digital notepad looks really neat, if it works half-decent as a pad for doing digital art it would be worth it. Glad to see Opera getting some love in the player as well. It's hands down the best browser I've ever used and that's even keeping in mind the few sites that just hate it.

Lol, I'm always happy to see Steve Jobs and co make a little less money and see other groups start to compete.

Apple's piece will only shrink if ASUS is able to market this thing properly and bring sufficient quantities to distributors.

Yeah I hope Asus does not spread itself too thin. I was worried about them getting into notebooks, but they seem to have done an excellent job in that area.

The tablets they are offering (and others like MSI) will do well if boot times, responsiveness, battery life, and availability is there.

Wow lots of pretty things to tempt me with! So the 12" Pad runs Win7 and has a C2D? That is suhweeeet. I still don't know what I'd actually do with it but it sounds like it would certainly put the smack down on an iPad. The 10" version sounds pretty buff too. Would be nice if Asus could put the right push behind them. Here's to hoping.

Fair enough, this could end up being like how the Zune was supposed to take a big section of the market from iPods, and well, we all know what happened there.
