Default New Seasonic X Series 850W, 1000W and 1200W units

Now Seasonic has announced they will be releasing their new Gold Rated PSU's (labeled the X series) in 850W, 1000W and 1200W units. Its nice to see Seasonic going high end with 1000W+ units. I always wondered why the previous generations only stopped at the 850W level of making PSU's.

No kidding. FindReplace ("Corsair", "Seasonic").

Although it mentions that this new series with be using the fanless tech that the original X units use, which would be unique and pretty cool on the larger units. Since it's likely percentage-of-rated-output based, can you imagine how many watts the 1.2kW could put out before the fan even starts spinning?

Hmm, and I was planning on picking up an X650 within the week... Might have to hold out to see what these new guys are offering in comparison. Worst-case I could probably pick up the 650 a bit cheaper

Not really. Corsair's new 750W and 850W units are Seasonic, but the 1200W model is not. The 1000W and 1200W X-series models are completely different from anything Corsair has.
